Samuel Nii Tackie was born in Accra, Ghana in 1988. He attended St. Mary’s Seminary Senior High School and proceeded to Ho Technical University majoring in Electrical and Electronic Engineering for his undergraduate studies. Upon completion in 2007, Samuel worked at Ghana Education Service as Teacher until 2013 when He joined Near East University for his postgraduate studies. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Near East University in June, 2015 and February, 2021 respectively. He has been with the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, Near East University as a research assistant and a lecturer since 2013 to date. He was promoted to an Assistant Professor in April 2022. His teaching and research interests include power electronics, renewable energy sources, power quality and custom power devices.
