Then he started his PhD studies at the Stockholm University, Physics Department and took his Licentiate degree from Stockholm University in 1998 and PhD degree at the Ege University (Turkey) in 2005. He has been participating to CERN experiment since 1992, starting with DELPHI Experiment in LEP and now in CMS (LHC) since 2001. He did work as researcher for the Iowa University between 2007-2009 at CERN CMS experiment.

He worked at the Istanbul Technical University between 2009-2023. He was project manager and team leader of the Istanbul Technical University CMS Hadron Calorimeter project which is granted by the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority. He is also a member of DUNE neutrino experiment collaborating with the University of Iowa. His current research is in high energy physics but since he worked on detector development testing and calibration for various DELPHI and CMS detectors at various stages, he has a good experience on nuclear energy physics as well. He has been working on radiation detectors more than 20 years, especially on radiation damage and developing methods to test radiation effects.
