She was born in Ordu, Turkey on August 31st, 1965. She graduated Chemical Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University in Turkey in 1992. She completed both M.A. and M.Sc. Degrees in the International Relations Department and Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of Near East University in Nicosia in 1996 and 2005, respectively. She received her Ph.D Degree in Mechanical Engineering Department of Near East University in 2018.

She has joined as a full time lecturer in Near East University since 1992. She coordinated General Chemistry courses between 1992 and 2014. She was a coordinator of Food Engineering Department in 2010-2013. She has been member Mechanical Engineering Department since 2008. Recently, she is serving as double major-minor program coordinator of Engineering Faculty.

Her research studies are focused on production and characterization of (cold flow properties, oxidation stability, etc.) biodiesel from various sources specifically waste frying oil and jojoba oil and their potential use in North Cyprus. Besides, she has also conducted researches about production of biogas from bio wastes and its economic and technical viability. Final year graduation projects and MS thesis on these topic have been supervised.
