In the 16th Knowledge Skill Competition Award Ceremony organized by the Vocational Technical Education Department of the Ministry of National Education and Culture, on behalf of the jury members, Chairperson of Automotive Engineerin Department and Expert in the field of Electronics, Assoc. Dr. Kamil Dimililer gave a speech.
Dimililer emphasized that he has been working as a jury member in the field of electronics representing the Near East University in the competitions organized by the Ministry of National Education and Culture for 7 years. He pointed out that the students have signed very good projects and studies with the support of teachers. Referring to the lack of intermediate staff in the country Dimililer, giving an example from his own life, saying that “Since I’m 10 years old, I had been working in my father’s shop in the field of electronics, television, computer, computer repair, and over time I have started to improve myself.”

This competition is organized every year at a university or vocational high school so that students have the chance to see the environments in different schools, Dimililer continued, “This practice makes them experienced, but also expands their horizons. The competition contributes to both students and teachers. We, as jury members, try to better understand the professional problems of young people and help them find solutions.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kamil Dimililer, pointed out that in some parts of the society there are prejudice against the vocational high schools, however, vocational high school students as good as other students and he emphasised that the country needs intermediate staff.
